Marc Jacobs at Louis Vuitton says goodbye

Marc Jacobs has said yes to Christian Dior? It seems that now everything is ready for the passage of the great fashion designer New York, by a French brand, Louis Vuitton, for another, what until recently was captained by the great English designer John Galliano, fired due to some legal troubles. Seems that the fashion designer, which is located at the head of the maison Vuitton since 1997, is ready to fill the spot vacated by now many months ago on his unknown colleague. Now it seems ready for the transition. At least that's what tells us the American newspaper Women's wear daily.

And to think that lately the rumors indicated that John Galliano would return at the helm of Dior, after being fired due to some anti-Semitic insults addressed in Paris vis-a-vis some people. Since then the post of Creative Director has remained free while awaiting a big name that went to fill it. And here we are at that moment.

The American fashion designer Marc Jacobs was part of the array of fashion designer papabili to become creative director for Dior. And now it seems that everything is true. In the next few days leaders of the Group of French fashion, without designer since last March, and the creative lawyers will meet in Paris to define all the details of the case.

Among the many names made in the past few months to replace Galliano at Dior, guidelines including Lanvin's Alber Elbaz, Nicolas Ghesquiere for Balenciaga, Francois Haider and Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy, apparently having checked the New York designer. We have to wait and see the details of the agreement. But at this point, who will arrive from Vuitton?
